Terms and Conditions

Last Updated: April 2026

Welcome to Virtue hair and beauty, operated by JC LAB LTD. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website (jclabltd.com), our online booking system, and the services provided within our salon. By booking an appointment or paying a deposit, you explicitly agree to the following terms.

1. Company Information

Company Entity: JC LAB LTD (trading as Virtue hair and beauty)

Company Number: 16613763

Registered Office: 7 New Lane, Selby, England, YO8 4QB

Contact: support@jclabltd.com | +44 7453571355

2. Booking and Cancellation Policy

Deposits: Online bookings are secured only once a deposit has been paid via our secure payment gateway (Stripe). This deposit is strictly non-refundable.

Rescheduling: To reschedule your appointment without losing your deposit, a minimum of 48 hours' notice is required.

3. Strict Punctuality Policy

We operate a busy salon and delays affect all subsequent clients.

Arriving up to 10 minutes late will result in some elements of your service being skipped to save time, however, the full service package price will still be charged.

Arriving late by 15 minutes or more will result in the automatic cancellation of the appointment. Your deposit will not be refunded. To reschedule the appointment, a new deposit will be required.

4. Colouring and Chemical Services Policy

We adhere to strict standards of health and safety within the salon, in accordance with the regulations set out by our suppliers and accrediting bodies. We reserve the right to refuse a colour service if it is our professional opinion to do so.

Skin-Testing: In the instance of a colour service, you must attend a preliminary consultation in-salon where you will be skin-tested no less than 48 hours and no longer than 2 weeks before a first colour service or where a product change is required. Skin-testing will be repeated as deemed appropriate.

Health Changes: If you have had any recent tattoos, piercings, or are pregnant, you must notify the salon. We reserve the right to demand a new skin-test be taken before colouring.

Failure to Test: Failure to complete a satisfactory skin-test and consultation will result in the refusal, cancellation, or rescheduling of the colour service. In the instance where a deposit has been paid for a consultation not attended, we reserve the right to refuse a refund.

Allergic Reactions: If you suffer any kind of reaction to a product we have skin-tested you for, you must notify the salon immediately, and the appointment may be cancelled or rescheduled as necessary. We are not liable for any irritation or reaction resulting from the application of colour, chemical treatments, or skin-testing where the procedure has been adhered to in accordance with the suppliers' guidelines.

5. Subjective Outcomes and Corrections

Target Results: We endeavour to achieve a colour/style result as close to the target tone/shade as possible. Due to the individuality and uniqueness of each person's hair type, condition, and make-up, colour services are undertaken with the understanding that the final results may differ from the target colour.

Dissatisfaction: In the event that you are not satisfied with your service, the salon must be notified and a follow-up appointment attended within two weeks of the original service. In the first instance, the follow-up consultation will be scheduled with the original colourist, assisted by a more senior team member if deemed appropriate.

Third-Party Interference: If your hair has been subsequently coloured or altered at another salon or at home before the completion of our follow-up consultation and assessment, we reserve the right to refuse a re-colour or offer a refund for the disputed service.

6. Pricing and Payments

All prices listed on our website are a guide. The final price may vary depending on hair length, thickness, and the specific stylist. All payments, including online deposits, are processed securely. We do not store your full credit card details.

7. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
