Refund & Cancellation Policy

At Virtue hair and beauty (operated by JC LAB LTD), we value your time and ours. When you book an appointment, we reserve a dedicated stylist and salon chair exclusively for you, turning away other clients. To protect our business and ensure a smooth experience for everyone, we enforce a strict refund and cancellation policy.
By securing an appointment with a deposit, you explicitly agree to the following terms.
1. Non-Refundable Deposits
To secure any online booking, a deposit must be paid via our secure payment system.
This deposit is strictly non-refundable under all circumstances. It acts as a retainer to secure your slot.
If you cancel your appointment completely, the deposit is forfeited to cover the opportunity cost of the lost booking.
2. Rescheduling Policy
We understand that unforeseen circumstances arise.
48-Hour Notice
If you need to reschedule your appointment, we require a minimum of 48 hours' notice prior to your scheduled time. If this notice is provided, we will gladly transfer your deposit to your new appointment date.
Late Notice
If you attempt to reschedule with less than 48 hours' notice, your original deposit will be forfeited, and a new deposit will be required to secure a new booking.
3. Strict Punctuality and No-Shows
We operate a busy salon schedule. Delays impact the clients booked after you.
Up to 10 minutes late
We will still accommodate you, but some elements of your service (e.g., blow-dry or styling) may be skipped to ensure we finish on time. You will still be charged for the full service package.
15 minutes late or more
Your appointment will be automatically cancelled, and your deposit will be permanently forfeited. A new deposit will be required to rebook.
No-Shows
Failure to attend your appointment without any prior notice will result in the total loss of your deposit.
4. Service Refunds and Subjective Outcomes
Hairdressing and colouring are highly subjective art forms, and hair can react differently to chemical treatments.
No Subjective Refunds
We strictly do not offer refunds if you simply "change your mind" or are dissatisfied with the subjective artistic outcome, provided the service was carried out to a professional standard and matched the agreed-upon consultation.
The 2-Week Correction Window
If you are unhappy with a technical aspect of your colour or cut, you must contact us within 14 days of your original appointment. We will arrange a follow-up consultation and make every professional effort to correct the issue free of charge.
Voided Guarantee
If you, or another salon, attempt to alter, dye, or correct your hair before attending our follow-up consultation, our correction guarantee is immediately voided, and no refunds or free corrections will be offered.
5. Retail Product Refunds
If you purchase physical retail products (e.g., shampoo, styling products) in our salon:
- Unopened and unused products in their original packaging can be returned within 14 days of purchase for a full refund or exchange with a valid receipt.
- For hygiene and safety reasons, we cannot accept returns or issue refunds for any products that have been opened or used, unless the product is proven to be faulty.
